Kohinoor Seed FieLds India Pvt. Ltd. (KSFIPL), incorporated in 2000, is a prominent seed company committed to farmer empowerment through the development, production, processing, and marketing of high-quality seeds. Starting with cotton, the company later expanded into production of other crop seeds.
With advanced R&D facilities in Delhi NCR and Maharashtra, and testing sites in Punjab, Maharashtra and Telangana, KSFIPL focuses on integrating cutting-edge molecular technologies with elite germplasm to enhance crop productivity. The company signed a technology transfer agreement with Mahyco-Monsanto Biotech in 2008 for the development of transgenic Bt cotton hybrids, and has obtained commercial approvals across all cotton-growing zones in India. MoUs with premier institutes like IARI (Pusa, Delhi) and MPKVV (Rahuri) further strengthen its research and marketing capabilities.
KSFIPL produces seeds for a wide range of crops including cotton, wheat, paddy, maize, bajra, pulses, oil seeds, and vegetable with production carried out under strict supervision in states like Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Punjab.
With processing units in Punjab, Delhi NCR, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh, and a strong dealer-distributor network under the brand “KOHINOOR,” the company continues to scale its impact across India’s agricultural landscape.
KSFIPL under the leadership of Mr. Pawan Kumar Kansal has contributed greatly to the Indian agriculture since 2000.
Mr. Pawan Kumar Kansal, B.Sc. and Law Graduate from Delhi University, has done Management Study from West Germany and Honors Management Programme from SP Jain, Mumbai. He has done various short term training courses in seed sector. He is a successful businessman who believes in wealth creation through ethical means. But most importantly, he believes in sharing this wealth with the needy and the not-so-fortunate.
Company is presently engaged in developing its own brand of research/hybrids of various crops for enhanced productivity and profitability. KSFIPL has established strong R&D Centre. Dr. M.S. Swaminathan, architect of green revolution in India had visited KSIPFL R&D center in 2005 along with Dr. G.S. Kalkat (Chairman of State Farmers Commission, Punjab) & Er. B.S. Sindhu (Director Agriculture-Punjab) and appreciated the efforts put by the company in creating a sustainable agriculture.
Company has done expansion from Cotton to other crops namely – Wheat, Paddy, Corn, Pearl Millet, Pulses and Vegetables. Company has increased its market base from North Zone – Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, UP to other states of Central Zone – MP, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Southern states – AP, Telangana and Karnataka.
– Done BIT from Delhi University in 2004.
– Done various short term courses and training programmes in agriculture seed sector.
– Done rigorous work continuously for 10 years (2005 to 2015 ) under the aegies of Dr. D.P. Singh, Retd. Sr. Cotton Breeder & Head of Department (CCS Haryana Agriculture University) in research, Production & seed development.
– Done the whole programme of transgenic work of cotton seeds in the Kohinoor Seed Fields India Pvt. Ltd. under the guidance of Managing Director Sh. Pawan Kr. Kansal and Sr. Cotton breeder Dr. D. P. Singh, Dealt right from the agreement with Mahyco Monsanto Biotech India Ltd. in 2008 to commercialisation of the technology in the Kohinoor Seed Fields India Pvt. Ltd.
– Also done work for expansion of various crop seeds in Kohinoor Seed Company from cotton to other crops viz. Wheat, Paddy, Maize, Mustard, Bajra and Pulses 2015 onwards.
– Currently being the Director of Kohinoor Seed Fields India Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi handling Research, Seed Production operations of the company in the respective states – Delhi NCR, Punjab, Maharashtra, Gujarat, AP, Telangana

PGDM (Entrepreneurship) from S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Andheri, Mumbai
Last 12 years, he is handling the marketing division of – Kohinoor Seed Fields India Pvt. Ltd.
Also handling the product development/strategic planning of the company
Handling Marketing Activities of the company in North Zone – Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, UP, Central Zone – MP, Maharashtra, Gujarat and South Zone – AP, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu etc.
Also done work for expansion of crops in Kohinoor Company from cotton, wheat and paddy to other crops viz. Maize, Bajra, Mustard, Pulses and Vegetable etc.
